Here’s Bailey’s story:
It goes without saying that my mom has always been essential to me but as the COVID-19 pandemic progressed, she was deemed essential to everyone else as well. Every day she walks into and out of work through the kind of lineups that we used to only see at major events. She’s been told by a customer that she’s “what’s wrong with the world” when she was following procedures put in place for their safety. She has elderly and immunocompromised loved ones that she’s constantly worried about. In spite of all of this, she works extra shifts to cover for the people that can’t safely do so right now. She does everything in her power to provide the best possible service and to ensure the safety of the customers she’s been serving for over 30 years. The woman that I’m lucky enough to call not only my mom but my best friend is a #COVIDHero – Bailey
